A student project team was interested in making a quad-copter from scratch.
After they determined how to precisely control a set of four brushless motors via Arduino, they designed and fabricated a remote control system to pilot the quad-copter. They modified an airframe that was originally designed by a team of university students to enhance its durability and safety. They 3D printed the parts with our MakerBot, and assembled the airframe, propulsion system, and electronics.
